Tiles of the Unexpected is a matching tile game in which the player's goal is to remove two levels of tiles from the playing surface. Players can tap identical tile combinations to remove them at the beginning of the game. New combinations might be discovered in this way. The player will receive one-half of a bomb for any chain reactions that arise as tile columns travel sideways or downward. The player must use the explosives to remove the remaining tiles after there are no more legal combinations left on the board. There are three levels to finish, and each one introduces new game tiles.
Any group of neighbouring tiles can be cleared by tapping on them. The game will automatically enter bomb mode when there are no more tile clusters left to be played. Now, a tile will blow up when a player taps it. The cost of each tile is one bomb. The game will immediately revert to the initial tap mode if the explosion results in new tile combinations on the board before all new combinations have been tapped and eliminated.
